Smooth operating wet saw!
As a flooring installer, a dependable wet saw is a must have. When we get moving on the job we need a good wet saw that can keep up with us.
Why buy a dewalt wet saw without stand? Hi, my name is Dustin . I’ve been installing flooring for some time now and dealing with dewalt products all my working life. Dewalt outlasts most brands . I find that the dewalt wet saw without stand has more than enough power and speed to keep up. Some times i find myself cutting two peices of tile at once with the dewalt wet saw. We don’t hold back on this saw… there’s really no need to.
Note: If you have never purchased a dewalt wet saw, you will want the stand aswell. It does cost a little more but well worth it. Easy to set up.
Dewalt wet saw includes: It comes with attachments to help with cutting a 45 degree angle. The dewalt wet saw without stand has some more attachments for larger tile and diverting the water back in the tray. We usually get a little over a year out of it. The stand always outlasts the wet saw, so i find cheaper getting the dewalt wet saw without stand. We have been using dewalt wet saws to cut all sorts of tile.
The Dewalt wet saw without stand is an awesome saw, real work horse!

Dewalt wet saw vs. Ridged wet saw
I bought a ridged wet saw last week, just to see if it could hold up to the over all production that the Dewalt wet saw has been providing us for years. The out come, well let’s see
Dewalt we know has been providing us with a great wet saw with the user/cutter in mind. What i mean by that is when dewalt came out with there wet saw. They thought of everything from cutting guides to diverting the water back in the water pan. The cutting guide is simply a device that attaches to the sliding tray as a guide to help when cutting at almost any angle. The water pan attachments help to diverte the water back in the pan. As a installer my job is hard enough so every little bit of help i can get in the feild is going to help me finish faster and more efficiently. It takes one five gallon bucket to fill it up. That one time fill up will no dought last all day.
So when i bought the ridged wet saw, I wanted to see if the over all production would be the same if not would it be close to the same. Also how many times would I have to go back and fill up the water pan.
Ridged has been around for quite some time, and is a well known brand. The ridged wet saw comes with a sliding tray cutting attachment much like the dewalt wet saw. Although the ridged does not have the water pan attachments i was surprized to find that it has a laser light to guide you when cutting tile. I started out like I always do. With the back splash, travertine cut on a 45. It held up cutting two peices at once. Of course travertine is a sort of soft stone to cut. So while i was installing the back splash the rest of the crew was prepping the concreate for tile to be installed. As we started laying the floor tile (porcelain) surprizingly enough the ridged did quite well. My personal opinion the ridged wet saw is a well oiled machine . Is it enough to keep up with a large flooring installation crew? No and here is why .When we started the job we filled the water pan . It had to be filled two more tmes. You also had to get in line to get something cut. For a small crew of three, or a novice installer it is well worth the money. Or if you have some one that really can not see all that well the laser comes in handy.
